WorldTimeNow uses your device's system clock combined with the browser's native
Intl.DateTimeFormat API to compute local times for each location. If your device clock is accurate (which it typically is via NTP sync), the times shown will be accurate to the second.WorldTimeNow supports every country on Earth. No. WorldTimeNow does not request, access, or transmit your precise location. Your current timezone is detected entirely by your browser using the
Intl.DateTimeFormat API. City searches are sent to the OpenStreetMap Photon geocoding API — we do not log these queries. See our Privacy Policy.Yellow dots represent major cities currently in daytime (local time is between 6am and 8pm). Blue dots represent cities currently in nighttime. This gives you an instant at-a-glance view of which parts of the world are awake right now — great for scheduling calls across time zones.
Click the search bar in the top-left of the globe and start typing a city name. Results appear instantly as you type. Click any result to pin that location on the globe — a pulsing animated pin will appear showing the city's local time. The globe automatically rotates to center on your selected location.
As you rotate the globe, WorldTimeNow automatically loads live news headlines relevant to the region facing the camera. Sources include BBC (global/UK), Reuters (global), ABC Australia (Pacific/Asia), NHK (Japan), Channel NewsAsia (SE Asia), and others. Headlines update every few seconds as you explore.
